Lessons can be one-on-one where we work on your project of choice together, or a Group Session where you get friends together for a Creative Play party- Indigo dye, sewing, printing, etc- Great for private parties. River Takada is a Japanese American mixed media artist, based in Durham, NC.
River’s work is known for embracing the spirit of re-use; using high quality remnant materials left behind by local textile factories. In small batches, Rivtak products are designed with little to zero waste. Each piece is carefully crafted around a purpose... adornment and awareness. The artist is always experimenting with new materials and offers a variety of creative workshops, sharing her Japanese and American textile heritage.
