Solstice Indigo Dye Drop-in!

Bring your own items to dye or just bring yourself and a friend and dye a cotton bandana!

• Students are encouraged to bring 1-2 items (clothing, napkins, tote bags etc), natural cellulose fibers (cotton, linen, and rayon) to dye/upcycle. Please Do Not bring large items like towels, blankets, etc.

• Experiment with the ancient Japanese technique of Itajime Shibori, a shaped-resist technique.

All supplies provided: clamps, resists, rubber bands, gloves and other studio supplies.

*Attendees must sign up by the day before the lesson. 3 people must be signed up by the day before, if only one person is signed up- workshop is subject to cancellation (signup with a friend!). River reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops for personal reasons. Students will be notified via email of any cancellations.

Supplies: Sample fabric and some scissors are provided and shared. Bring any supplies you prefer (fabric scissors, fabric, pins, etc. for your own projects/mending. Some supplies available for purchase upon request.
