Hosted at Locale 321 (321 E Chapel Hill St, Durham, NC 27701). 2nd floor office space. Literally the building in between the Durham Hotel and The Post Office. Parking is free on weekends! It's on the 2nd floor (stairs only), so we apologize if this inconveniences you- let me know and I can help you bring things upstairs!
The idea is certainly to clean out your closet, home stuff, whatever, and Swap/Sell to other local folks! We ask that everyone bring something to swap! If you have a few things you want to try and sell- feel free to tag and bring them! Anything left over will be donated (TBA) for convenience sake! We ask that this be items from your personal collection, no merchandise please (does that make sense? Like, if you sell clothes for a living, please don't bring your whole stash- Also- please let people take for personal use before taking items to re-sell!)
There will be light snacks, maybe a board???? Let me know if you'd like to bring Drinks to share!
Whats the plan:
-Please arrive around 2pm to drop off your items and help sort things. We'll start swapping around 2:30pm- first come, first serve!
-We will have a special rack just for selling items- please price and tag (just safety pin a post-it on there!) if there is anything you can't just give away. Make sure your name is on the tag!!! You must figure out how you want to accept payment (cash, venmo, paypal, square, etc.).
-We'll wrap everything up by 5pm and clean things up for donation!
This is short notice so we'd love your help getting the word out to local folks! It's gonna be a loose and free event! Attached are some slides you are welcome to post to your IG stories! We'll be sharing too so please repost- whatever! I'm too lazy to make a facebook event- so word of mouth marketing is needed. We want folks with great style to attend so we can all get some goodies!! Everyone is welcome! Size and style inclusivity will be determined by attendees, so we hope to get the word out!
