Ever wanted to make your favorite tee-shirt or dress in 5 different colors, but didn't want to take it apart to trace the pattern? In this workshop, we will cover the basics of making a 2D paper pattern from a 3D piece of clothing you already own- this technique is called Pattern Cloning or Pattern Rubbing. Let's start with a simple item you would like to clone and we will cover the basics of transferring the details to a 2D paper pattern, adding seam allowances, etc. Students should bring an item they would like to clone so we can do our best to trace the shape on paper.
