Solstice Indigo Dye Drop-in!

Register in advance and come anytime between 11am-2pm on Saturday, June 21st to celebrate the Solstice, Juneteenth and the ending of River’s Artist-in-Residency!

20% of profit will be donated to families in Gaza.

Bring your own items to dye or just bring yourself and a friend and dye a cotton bandana!

• Students are encouraged to bring 1-2 items (clothing, napkins, tote bags etc), natural cellulose fibers (cotton, linen, and rayon) to dye/upcycle. Please Do Not bring large items like towels, blankets, etc, or polyester fabric.

• Experiment with the ancient Japanese technique of Itajime Shibori, a shaped-resist technique.

All supplies provided: clamps, resists, rubber bands, gloves and other studio supplies.

Saturday, June 21st, 2025, 11am-2pm (please come between 11am-1:30pm)
This activity takes around 45 minutes depending on the items you bring and the design you choose.

$30-Bring your own items (limit 2 items, or buy multiple tickets)
$40- Dye a cotton Bandana

*Attendees must sign up 3 days before this drop-in workshop. 3 people must be signed up by the day before, if only one person is signed up- workshop is subject to cancellation (signup with a friend!).
