I am working on getting the remaining new mobiles online and pledge to donate 25% of upcoming online sales to Palestine Children Relief Fund. SUMMER CAMP announcement! Starting Mid-June!

This summer I am very excited to be teaching a very limited number of weeks at Freeman’s Creative in Durham! This is BIG NEWS because I have only taught camp at the ArtsCenter in Carrboro for over a decade! Now that I live north of Durham, commuting to Carrboro is too far, so I am thrilled to be partnering with Amelia and the team at Freeman’s Creative- Durham’s own craft store for all things sewing and yarn! Starting June 17th, we will host a number of kids camps, and one adult camp! There are ONLY 6 spots for each session!

Sessions are 3 or 5 days, 3 hours long each day, 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm, for different age groups. All Supplies provided! Bring your own machine in good, working condition or rent a classroom machine.

June 17- 21- Beginner Sewing Camp (5 days)- Learn to use a sewing machine in this week-long camp! We will start with machine parts and safety and then use our skills to make plush creatures, tote bags and shorts! No prior sewing experience necessary.
AM Session (9am-12pm) for 8-12 years old
PM Session (1pm-4pm) for 13-18 years old

June 26 - 28- Beginner Sewing Camp (3 days)- Learn to use a sewing machine to make plush creatures and tote bags! No prior sewing experience necessary.
AM Session (9am-12pm) for 8-12 years old
PM Session (1pm-4pm) for 13-18 years old

July 10-12- No Fear Serger Camp (3 Day, Adults)
Re-acquaint yourself with your serger and take your serger skills from nervous to no fear! We will cover basics on Day 1, Day 2-underwear with a pattern, and Day 3 will be for serging a garment of your choice.
AM Session (9am-12pm) for Adults

July 10-12- Altered Style Camp (3 Day, Age 13-18)
In this 3 day workshop, teens will learn basic hand-sewing skills to alter, mend, and accessorize their clothing. We'll cover embroidery techniques from different cultures as well as visible mending, patching, and more. Students should bring 3-5 garments or soft fabric accessories to work on, including second-hand clothing, garments in need of mending, or upcycling projects. All other supplies provided. No prior sewing experience necessary.
PM Session (1pm-4pm) for 13-18 year olds

July 15-19- Beginner Quilting Camp (5 Day)
Explore the heritage craft of Quilting, looking at historical influences and modern takes! In this machine-based camp, students will start by making simple blocks and move to improv patchwork, a log cabin potholder, and a lap quilt in the course of the week. All supplies included, although fabric and scraps from home are welcome. All skill levels welcome, but no prior sewing experience is necessary.
AM Session (9am-12pm) for 8-12 years old
PM Session (1pm-4pm) for 13-18 years old
